Polka and Bloom
I came across a wonderful blogger and maker of handmade things yesterday while on my continued search for inspiration. Carina is a Danish girl who lives in England, and she’s really into crocheting, sewing, painting and embroidery. I think what caught my eye the most was the beautiful colours in the design of her blog – particularly the header!
You can also see how great Carina’s eye for colour and design is in the image mosaic that she posted up yesterday.
After reading through a whole bunch of her interesting posts about different crafty things or other young independent designers, I had a look through her Etsy and Art Fire shops and what a treat that was! I’m crazy about so many of the pieces she’s made. Simple, and again, COLOURFUL!

And last, but definitely not least,a sneak peek of Carina’s first embroidery pattern. She’s sent me an image of the completed one, but I’ll wait until she’s officially released it before I show you the whole thing.
I just love it!
