Zulu Wire Art
A friend of mine sent me the link to this talk by Marisa Flick-Jordaan, the owner of Zenzulu. In it Marisa explains the modernisation of traditional forms of Zulu art. She also shares how the project started and how it has grown to be so very successful, gaining both national and international recognisation.
Marisa is an example of a South African who is using her energy, creativity and talents to better the lives of other people, someone who we can all learn a tremendous amount from. I have so much respect for Marisa, not only because of her achievements in terms of helping marginalised South Africans, but also because she’s an entrepreneur who started-up, and continues to maintain, such a successful business based on the sale of handmade things.
Take a look at the video to see what she has to say.
