Have any of you watched the movie Julie and Julia? I just did (we’re a bit behind in Knysna) and I loved it. It was such fun to watch a blogger behind the scenes, and because it’s based on a true story (two, actually) I found it really inspiring.

A young girl in a dreary job with a passion for writing decides to start blogging about what she loves – cooking. She takes on the task of cooking a well known American chef’s entire cookbook within in a year. By the end of it all, she’s famous.

Just really enjoyed seeing the emotions one experiences behind the computer screen which I guess sometimes readers pick up and sometimes they don’t. I think because she actually carried out tasks each day for her project and then wrote about it, especially for the blog, the whole concept filled her life a little more than mine does. Still interesting to observe and compare though!

Anyway, definitely check it out if you haven’t seen it already. I’m now feeling even more excited about another blog that I want to start writing. Will fill you in about that another time :)
