Little Shop of Hope
I thought I’d share some pics with you of the shop that my ladies at Women of Vision have set up to sell the little odds and ends they’ve been making. All of the fabric they use is donated, and most of the patterns for the things they’ve made have been given to them or taught to them by people who used to voluntarily help the project.
Not many people actually visit the shop, apart from a couple of “brave” tourists who venture into the township on a tour every now and then. That’s about all the support they get all month, plus a few alterations they do for the local community here and there.
Oh, I so hope that I am able to help improve their situation. Perhaps oneday Beatrice, Joyce, Noxie and I will be travelling the world exhibiting our exclusive handmade goods, and this little shop will be used merely as a showcase for tourists to visit what once was.
