Zizamele Ceramics

The products made by Zizamele have repeatedly caught my eye in craft and curio shops around the country. They’re an upliftment project, based in Cape Town, “that trains previously unemployed (and often previously destitute) artists in ceramic creation, life skills and business management”.

Their products are just so unique, and are of such a high standard. I love the interesting designs, and of course, the bright colours. Take a look.

I’m considering contacting Zizamele about selling some of their pieces through Babazeka, but must be honest, when it comes to posting delicate ceramics, I feel a little nervous. I think they would add so nicely to our shop, but we’ll have to have a serious think about it.
