Some Special Suppliers

I’m having the MOST wonderful time here in Cape Town, and have seen just too much inspiring stuff. It’s amazing to see so much creativity all in one city, from products that are designed and made, to the way people dress, or even how food is displayed on your plate at a restaurant.

I have so much to show you, but think that I might leave a lot of it for next week. Today though, I want to show you some pictures from suppliers that I’ve visited. It’s always a treat to spend some time in person with them – I’m always taken aback by how lovely the people are that I get to work with.

Below you’ll get to see the innerworkings of Zambane’s potato printing workshop, and then some of the new adorable, quirky products that Projekt are making.

Elizabeth

Isn’t it just incredible that every block and pattern has been individually printed by hand – using a potato?!

Employee

Look at the length of each piece of fabric? Can you imagine how long it takes to print each piece?

Dolls

How sweet are these new Projekt dolls?

Birds

And these Christmas hanging doves?

Here are some more kiddies dolls. Gorgeous, aren’t they?

Necklace

And this is one of Projekt’s latest necklace designs! Just beautiful.

Ok, so I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I know I’m going to ;)
